Business Travel Requirements for a Dominican Republic Visa for Indian Citizens

1. Passport

   The applicant's actual passport. The passport must:

   • Be valid for at least six months beyond entry date
   • Have at least one blank visa page

   You must provide one colour, passport type photograph that meets the following criteria:

   • Be taken within the last three months and printed on high quality photo paper
   • Be taken against an all white background
   • Be 35 mm by 45mm in size
   • Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
   • You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes
   • Your photos should not be affixed to your application and they may not display evidence of adhesive or staples

4. Business Cover Letter

   You must provide a Business Cover Letter from the applicant's Indian employer. Be certain your letter meets the specific requirements of the Embassy by using our Digital Business Cover Letter. Visit https://cibtvisas.in/bcl-order to get started.

   Alternatively, provide your own business cover letter. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays an Indian postal address in order to prevent a rejection and possible delays with your visa request. 

   Note that most embassies require the Business Cover Letter to be dated within one month of application submission.

   • Bear the stamp of the company
   • State the number of entries requested
   • Be accompanied by a certified Spanish translation 

5. Letter of Invitation

   A letter of invitation from the company the applicant is visiting. This letter must:

   • Be written in Spanish
   • Be on company letterhead paper
   • Include the full name, job title and passport information of the applicant
   • Include a detailed explanation for the trip
   • Specify the requested number of entries and the length of visa required
   • Include the date(s) of entry and exit
   • Specify who will be financially responsible for the visit
   • Include the contact details of the inviting company
   • Be signed
   • Be notarized and legalized by the Procuraduría General de la Républica Dominicana
   • Include the following clause:
   • Garantizo que (nombre, nacionalidad y pasaporte), no permanecerá en la República Dominicana más tiempo que el concedido por la Dirección General de Migración, ni solicitará residencia o cambio de estatus migratorio desde el territorio dominicano, dedicándose exclusivamente a la actividad por la cual le fue otorgado el visado. Me hago moral y económicamente responsable de su retorno a su país de origen, asumiendo pagar a favor del Estado Dominicano cualquier gasto en que dicha persona pueda incurrir durante su estancia en el país, o que se origine como consecuencia de su repatriación o deportación del mismo.

6. Host ID

   This must be provided as a copy of the passport and Dominican National ID (Cédula) of the host. 

7. Company Registration Certificate

   This must be provided as a copy of the Registro Mercantil (Commercial Registration) of the company registered in the Dominican Republic.

8. Police Clearance Certificate

   A Police Clearance Certificate issued by the Ministry of External Affairs . The Certificate must:

   • Not be older than one year
   • Be apostilled

9. Visa Application Form

   One fully completed and signed visa application form. The form must:

   • Be completed in block capitals
   • Be printed and signed by the applicant in blue/black ink only
